Buying a firearm online? By law, we can ship a firearm only to a person or business that holds a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) — a licensed gun dealer. Here’s how the transfer works and how to find a dealer near you.
How a firearm transfer works
Firearms purchased through our online store cannot ship directly to your home. We must ship the firearm only to an individual or business in possession of a valid FFL. Once your firearm arrives at the FFL dealer you choose, that dealer processes the transfer paperwork on your behalf, in accordance with their local, state, and federal firearms regulations. You complete the required background check and paperwork at the dealer before taking possession.
